To all hockey players, the schedule is now finalized and most teams are set. However, in good old Canadian tradition, there may be openings for players here and there throughout the day. Bring your skates, helmet, gloves, and stick and you might just end up playing.
Also, you are welcome to play casual shinny hockey on day 2 of the Fire and Ice Festival, Sunday January 20 from 10 am to 5 pm.
SEE FINAL GAMES SCHEDULE BELOW
A few tickets are still available for the Hot Stove Lounge.
Get them here: Hot Stove Lounge Pub Night!
In a nutshell the Alton Millpond Hockey Classic is a community-based fundraiser in support of the Alton Millpond Rehabilitation Project, an environmental project to restore the historic three acre Alton Millpond.
Started in 2010, 'The Classic' has rapidly become a well-known and well-loved local winter tradition. At its core, this event is about hockey, community and the environment. Outdoor hockey is a quintessentially Canadian winter activity, and playing on a millpond is about as great a hockey experience as one can get.
